BREATHE BETTER PROGRAM
The Breathe Better Program is an anti-idling/clean air campaign. The goal is to help protect the health and safety of children by reducing harmful vehicle emissions around our school. Our Breathe Better Club will keep track of the impact of our anti-idling campaign!
LITTER PREVENTION
Third and fourth grade students researched the effects of litter on Earth.
This year one third class filled one bag of trash from the back of the school grounds. Next year we hope to increase the number of areas we clean up and involved more than one class.
Posters were placed throughout the school encouraging their schoolmates to recycle bottles and cans in the cafeteria as well as to not litter. They also created a video (see below) that was sent to all classes about the importance of recycling versus throwing trash away and filling landfills.
